Since March 2020, Marin Ballet has kept moving by adapting our in-studio programs to a virtual offering of classes and community events. It’s been a rich and compelling experience for our students and faculty! We have proactive plans to return to our studios at 100 Elm Street using a schedule of hybrid in-studio and virtually-streamed classes for our Ballet Program when it is safe to do so. This plan has been coordinated within the Marin Recovers guidelines and with our own due diligence as dance professionals. We’ll post updates here.
Marin Ballet provides a standards-based dance education that equips students with the tools and vocabulary to perform at their best. Collaborations with guest choreographers, a contemporary ballet syllabus, and an emerging (student) choreography initiative inform a year-round training program.
Drop-in Classes, Workshops & Gatherings
This is MB’s gathering place where kids, teens, and adults can drop in to dance, create, converse, listen in, or play together…..for the fun of keeping bodies moving and connecting with others.

Creative Movement Exploration
This 45-minute class safely engages little bodies ages 3 -4 in creative movement and exploration with live instruction via Zoom.
Introductory Ballet Prep is for girls and boys enrolled in Kindergarten – 1st grade.
Live-stream classes on Zoom provide organized group lessons based on the fundamentals of dance, music, and energetic bodies and imaginations.
PLUS…MB’s Culture & Community Classes are included in MB’s Ballet Program tuition!
Girls and boys ages 7 to 10 are grouped by grade level for live-streamed classes on Zoom (for now).
The beginning ballet syllabus starts with young dancers with little or no dance experience and continues through pre-pointe.
MB’s Culture & Community classes and gatherings are included in the Beginning Ballet Program with both students and their families invited to join in and stay connected.

Dancers ages 10 to 13 train in like age groups as they transition to pointe work and advance through the ballet syllabus. Classes include technique, pointe, contemporary, and strength/stretch/pilates infusions. Voluntary Culture & Community classes are included in the Intermediate Ballet Program providing students with mentors, social connection, and healthy fun (families are invited to participate too!).
