Spring Showcase

Join us for Marin Ballet’s Spring Showcase 2024

The Spring Showcase will feature repertoire performed by our Level 1 – 8 students, as well as beautiful excerpts from classical ballets, Swan Lake and Le Corsaire, featuring 3 of our Graduating seniors.

We are proud to present works rehearsed by faculty members Laura Skapik, Laurie Klein, Charlie Martin, Corinne Jonas, and Dave Kato.

The performance will run approximately 50 minutes with no intermission.

Cast members from Levels 1-8, and graduating senior, Catherine Louie (Swan Lake variation) will perform in all 3 shows.

The Corsaire Pas De Deux will feature Quinn Crowe Daniels dancing with graduating seniors, Haley Ritchey (Fri 7pm show) and Kaden Hisanaga (Sat 1pm and 3pm shows)

Extravadance

Due your generosity, we exceeded our goal! All of us at Marin Ballet are so grateful for the support we received during our Extravadance Gala, which allows us to offer exceptional ballet training and tuition assistance to a diverse group of students.

Together we enjoyed our luscious Insalata’s dinner, responded to the antics of our auctioneer, Chad Carvey, and grooved to the hustle led by Charlie Martin to the tunes of D.J. Tony Page! Due to the festive attire, the 70’s has never looked so good.

Congratulations to our award winners, our alumni of the year, Krystina Morrill, and all our auction winners.

Spring Concert

On March 23, we enjoyed an exciting program performed by our upper division students in Levels 5-9.

From a colorful and energetic Tarantella to beautiful ballet works by Corinne Jonas, Xiao Liu and Charlie Martin, you will be treated to program with many “firsts.” Level 7 students will present their first performance on pointe, Level 8 will perform their first contemporary work, and Julia Adam has created a new work which celebrates our graduating seniors.

Our Friday and Saturday performances were sold out.

Watch our Nutcracker Rehearsal

A big thank you to all our students for their hard work and dedication in preparation for this year’s Nutcracker performance.

Marin Ballet Flamenco Presentation

Bravo to the wonderful Marin Ballet summer intensive students & Yumi La Rosa, their guest Flamenco teacher, as they top off their weeklong workshop with a beautiful demonstration. Video by Charlie Martin.

Spring Showcase 2023

In Spring of each year, Marin Ballet students reveal how they are applying artistry to the technique they are learning. In March, the older students perform in the Spring Concert, while the younger students present the Spring Showcase in May. Dancers perform repertory works choreographed by their teachers, complete with costuming, lights, and music. Located in the 125-seat Phyllis Thelen Theater at Marin Ballet, the performances are a festive way to reveal the students’ progress.

60th Anniversary Weekend

Joined by families, faculty, alumni, and our extended community, we gathered together to honor 60 years of Marin Ballet.
To honor our anniversary, our goal was to raise $60,000 for the Laurie Klein Scholarship Fund.
