LEVELS 5 & 6 begin the transition to advanced training with a focus on strengthening, conditioning, and disciplined pointe work. Integration and application of corrections, working as an ensemble, and assimilation of new choreographic styles become increasingly important. Girls and boys train and rehearse together year round, with supplemental multi-age boys classes provided. Building partnering skills begins. A placement class is required for all incoming students.
LEVEL 7 training increases in demand as students evolve to the advanced training syllabus and performance schedule. Pointe work, contemporary ballet, and student choreography opportunities are expanded throughout the school year. Students must balance academic priorities with their ballet training program. Girls and boys train and rehearse together, with supplemental boys classes for conditioning and repertoire. A placement class is required for all incoming students.
