Intermediate Ballet Instructor

Marin Ballet, located in San Rafael, CA is currently accepting resumes for highly skilled intermediate and advanced Ballet instructors to join our faculty. This is for part-time, hourly employment.
Successful candidates may then be offered up to 10-14 hours a week during our June/July summer program, and for the school year 2024/25

The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge in teaching and breaking down intermediate ballet syllabus and instructing beginning pointe work to pre-teens. The advanced teachers must have extensive knowledge in pointe work, teaching variations and rehearsing classical and contemporary syllabus. Ideal teacher will also have knowledge in classroom etiquette and management, work as a rehearsal coach, enjoy choreography for young students, and have excellent personal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years in classical ballet instruction.
  • secondary experience in contemporary, or modern a plus.
  • Professional performance and theater experience ideal
  • Pilates, PBT, or yoga instruction a plus.
  • must be able to attend interview and teach a demonstration class in person.

Pre-ballet Division

Marin Ballet is accepting resumes for part time hourly work in our pre-ballet division.

Candidate must have knowledge of teaching beginning ballet and creative movement. Classroom management in these levels is of the utmost importance, in a supportive, happy, and creative atmosphere. At Marin Ballet we strive to help children “learn how to learn,” to develop listening skills, and the ability to follow instructions, in a group setting, while fostering a love of movement. Energy, enthusiasm, imagination, musicality, and love of children a must.

Accompanists

Accepting resumes for experienced Ballet accompanists for part time hourly work.
