We Bring Ballet Beyond the Studio

Marin County Fair 2025

Marin Ballet is proud to extend its mission beyond our studios through meaningful community engagement programs that foster creativity, connection, and joy. Whether it’s through storytelling, movement, or education, our outreach efforts bring the art of ballet to schools, libraries, and senior centers across Marin County.

Your performance brought our community closer together, showcasing the vibrant talent of Marin and the Bay Area. We are so grateful for your contribution to the Fair’s success.” — Tracy Bays-Boothe, Managing Director, Marin Cultural Association

“Delighted by the support you received to affirm the positive reception to Marin Ballet’s cultural outreach program and to how  effectively Corinne presented the beauty of dance in each segment of the program.    Will look forward to whatever your future presentations will be and certainly will be there to applaud them.”

—  Barbara J. Meislin

Corinne is an inspired speaker–she has such love of ballet, with deep insight, and a really joyful presentation style. I learned so much. Everyone said they can’t wait for the next session; and we hope this program goes beyond the 4 scheduled!” —  Sally Steele

Dance Classes at Hamilton School

In 2025, we began a program where each Friday, Corinne Jonas taught a dance to more than 70 students at Hamilton School in Novato, where many families face financial challenges. For many of these children, it was their first experience with music and dance.

“The students were so proud to perform for their families. It was a powerful moment for Marin Ballet.”
Mona Steinberg, Board President

This program brings joy, confidence, and creativity to a school community that deserves access to the arts.

Ballet for Seniors at Vivalon

Faculty member Laurie Klein teaches Ballet Fundamentals at Vivalon in San Rafael, a free class designed to support balance, strength, and flexibility in older adults.

“This is the most popular class we’ve offered in a long time.”
Ariana Diaz-Abreu, Vivalon Program Manager

The class is gentle, fun, and welcoming to all.
