Thanks to the vision and determination of key founding members of the MB community – notably Phyllis and Max Thelen – we are fortunate to own our beloved facility here at 100 Elm Street. Since 1972, the renovated seminary that became Marin Ballet has been a place of self-exploration, arts education, and social connection for hundreds of student dancers who come after school, on weekends, and for countless summer days to train together in the art of ballet. With the ongoing generosity of donors, remodeling and significant renovation have supported the evolving needs of our community. Over the years, new sprung dance floors, boilers, window treatments, and numerous miscellaneous fixes have been possible through careful planning and with a dedicated eye toward ensuring the well-being of this gem of a facility. This past November, we even added an exterior platform in the front parking lot for social-distanced classes, performances, and community gatherings. We are eager to come back together in-person when it is safe to do so. Rest assured 100 Elm Street is ready and waiting!
