“Peter and the Wolf”
Members of the Marin Ballet Youth Company (MBYC), along with students from our intermediate and advanced divisions, have been rehearsing for our second year of our Peter and the Wolf production. This one-act story ballet is choreographed by Charlie Martin, who is also the costume designer.
Performances will take place on:

Extravadance Gala Fundraiser
Step into the mystery and elegance of a Masquerade Ball.
Our Extravadance Gala will take place on Saturday, April 25. Guests are invited to don their masks and immerse themselves in an evening of intrigue, glamour, and celebration. More details to come, save the date!
Exploring the Great Classical Ballets at the Tiburon Library:
You are personally invited to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of classical ballet with Marin Ballet’s Community Engagement Coordinator, Corinne Jonas.
Please join Corinne at the Tiburon Library for her exciting free series of Ballet Appreciation classes, perfect for adults and seniors who want to explore the artistry and storytelling behind the following four iconic story ballets.
What to Expect:
- Hour-long sessions, each focusing on a different classical ballet
- Learn the captivating stories behind these timeless productions
- Analyze the beautiful musical scores that bring these tales to life
- Watch breathtaking video footage from professional company performances
- Experience the joy of dance with a 10-15-minute choreography lesson
No prior ballet experience needed! Most of the class will be seated, making it accessible for all. For the short dance portion, simply wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

This year’s Spring Showcase will displayed a progression of talent and new works from our littlest performers in Level 1 all the way up to Level 9.

Art Exhibition
Damon Mahoney’s shared a stunning collection celebrating ballet dancers with a dozen paintings on canvas and a selection of prints and drawings. Damon, a former soloist with Oakland Ballet and San Francisco Opera, combines his 12-year dance career and passion for art to capture the beauty and athleticism of ballet.
