Congratulations to Marin Ballet alum Edwaard Liang, who was recently named Artistic Director of the Washington Ballet in Washington, D.C. Edwaard was raised in Corte Madera and graduated from Marin Ballet in 1993. He trained at the School of American Ballet in New York, and then performed with New York City Ballet and the Nederlands Dans Theater. He is best known as a choreographer, having created numerous works for U.S.-based and international ballet companies.
