Taking Center Stage
Marin Ballet is excited to announce the formation of the Marin Ballet Youth Company (MBYC). A new ensemble dedicated to presenting high-quality performances for pre-professional artists aspiring toward careers in dance.
MBYC is comprised of dancers from our top level, by audition only. Under the leadership of Director, Catherine Hader and Youth Company Manager, Charlie Martin, members will participate in exclusive performance and workshop opportunities at our newly renovated Phyllis Thelen Studio Theater and throughout the Bay Area.
The company is also committed to community engagement through outreach performances for local students and senior communities.
Upcoming Performances
Peter and the Wolf
Members of the Marin Ballet Youth Company (MBYC), along with students from our intermediate and advanced divisions, have been rehearsing for our second year of our Peter and the Wolf production. This one-act story ballet is choreographed by Charlie Martin, who is also the costume designer.
Performances will take place on:
March 27 at 7pm
March 28 at 2pm & 4pm

Past Performances
The debut performance of the Marin Ballet Youth Company was a special appearance alongside Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker in her “Joy to the World” National Tour on Monday, December 22, 2025.
