Marin Ballet’s Nutcracker is a wonderful first theater experience for children.  And, Marin Center is an intimate enough venue that it’s easily accessible for families.  Our production is a full-length ballet with two 45-minute acts with a 20-minute intermission.  We recommend the performance for children ages 4 and up who are ready to be still and quiet as they watch.

There is no late seating in the first tier after the curtain.  At the discretion of the theater staff, audience members may be seated in aisle-available seating upstairs in the tier 2.  This is also true for folks that may need to exit their seats during the performance.  You may not be permitted to return to your original seats until intermission, or for the remainder of Act II.

It is Marin Center’s policy to offer a ‘sippy cup’ option when purchasing beverages at the theater.  These beverages can be taken into the audience seating.  Food is not permitted.

We suggest arriving inside the theater lobby 30 minutes before the show.  This allows time to use the restrooms, calmly find your seats, read the playbill, visit the Nutcracker Boutique, and enjoy the experience.  We discourage Will-Call tickets, unless absolutely necessary, so you don’t get caught in Box Office lines.
